| So this site, CouponChief is a site devoted to finding coupons and big deals for buyers, and during the holiday season, it could be nice to cut some corners and save some cash to devote to bigger, better gifts for others. Plus it may help to do some online shopping rather than fight the crowds at the stores. There are Macy*s coupons, KBToys coupons, and lots more. They seem to be updated frequently, considering a lot of the ones I spotted were added just yesterday (probably in time for the holiday rush today), and they may come in handy for some of y'all this season. I know I'm going to check out some of the stores I regularly visit and see what they're offering. =)

| So apparently I'm a blog-a-holic when I'm home. If I go back into the archives, it's proven to be true. If I'm home, and I'm bored, I make pointless blog posts. Or, now that I signed up for that PPP that I mentioned in an earlier post, I get to make random posts and make money for it, which is pretty sweet, you know? Plus I learn something new, like some of the info at the end of the last post. I had no idea that there were coverings for new garage floors that helps to keep them as new as possible for as long as possible.
lol, I hear Sean in his room chatting with somebody on WoW. That's one thing I have yet to do on the game--I've listened on Ventrilo, but I've never spoken. My guild is like 25% female, so it's not the "ZOMG, it's a girl!" kind of reaction I'm worried about...it's honestly the fact that the system is like using a telephone, lol. So stupid.
Recently, I evaluated exactly WHY I have issues with the telephone after hearing that one of my co-workers goes through the same anxiety and has the same issues and they figured that it's this, and I have to agree: it's a control issue. When writing a letter or email, I have perfect control over what I'm saying and how I choose to word things. I can spend 5 minutes or 5 hours on it to produce the same result, but it's still under my control. With the phone or IM, it's uncontrolled. I could predict what somebody's going to say if I ask something, but if they don't say what I'm expecting, I'm thrown off. It's out of my control what the other person says and I can't have 5 hours to word it correctly so that everything I want to say gets said. In person, things are easier, because you're face-to-face and the other party can see if what they said has startled you or wasn't what you were expecting to hear. Plus, talking to people in person is something we've all been doing for a good portion of our lives, while the phone and IM appeared later. Perhaps after 6 more years or so, the phone and IM will become comfortable means of communication for me, but for now, they shall remain as they are.
Still waiting for Apple's store page to come back up. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve who's been promised they can open one present at midnight before going to bed (we used to do that, lol). I want to know what the sales are!
| Have you ever looked at your garage floors and realized how bad they look? I don't have a garage at my apartment, but I do have one at my mom's place, and it's honestly marked everywhere with random oil and paint spills. It's not cracked, which I guess I can attribute to not being near earthquake zones (which I have lived in years ago...I've interesting stories about rolling concrete and rotating pictures to go with those times, lol). I've never had a real reason to focus on my garage floor, but now that I think about it, it really is a mess and could use a little renovation. Apparently, it's easiest to just cover old garage floors with tile to make them look better while newer ones can have some treatment done that allows them to last for years. Muy interesante, neh? | | |
| So Turkey Day is nearly over, and overall, it went pretty well. No name-calling family drama, no awkward food, no bruises or skinned knees...pretty good. I rode and drove on an ATV for the first time...it was both thrilling and terrifying all at once. Then, after all was said and done, I got to come home to Chalupa, who greeted me by looking for food and wanting to run (so I put him in his ball and let him go for 90 minutes around the house). He had fun doing that, and it's made him sleep through the night, which has been AMAZING. No 4am "Guess what! I learned how to open the door!" moments, lol.
Now that the day's nearly over, tomorrow marks the biggest shopping day of the year, also known as Black Friday. I'm keeping an eye on Apple's website for one reason or another. I really want to know what the sales are, and they kick in at 12:01am Pacific. Some of the sales I've seen here and there seem to be pretty good, if I had a bundle of cash to blow while taking part in them, lol.
The weather seemed to change pretty drastically lately...suddenly got cold, and I've been having to layer long-sleeved shirts under sweatshirts to keep warm. It's finally getting to be wintertime. I wish it would snow. That would make it REALLY feel like winter.
The only downside to the cold (besides that it is cold), is the fact that my arthritis in my left ankle really flares up, and hurts like a mofo. I'm not a fan of that. But otherwise, bundling up and drinking hot cocoa is always fun.
| Happy Thanksgiving! May y'all stuff yourselves with turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce...or if you do what my family did a few years ago, may you stuff yourselves with pork chops, black eyed peas, rolls, and all sorts of redneck-ish stuff. Either way, have a great day! | | |
